Jaison Wilson

Jaison Duell Wilson is an art director, color designer, visual effects artist, and teacher with a long and varied career in animation and media. A graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Master of Arts in Fine Drawing, Jaison relocated to join the Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida Studio, where he served as a color model stylist for the feature films Lilo & Stitch (2002) and Brother Bear (2003), and also was responsible for instructing the studio staff in the use of Adobe Photoshop. During his time at the Florida Studio, Jaison became an integral part of The Flower’s production team, earning his first credit as art director. He went on to design the overall color look of the film and paint many of the film’s backgrounds. Jaison has remained a continuous part of The Flower team from the Disney days through to the present.

Following the closure of the Florida Studio, Jaison moved into the world of motion graphics and visual effects, working on films, music videos, and commercials throughout the 2000s. Later, he rejoined Disney’s California-based studio and served as a color stylist and compositor on The Princess and the Frog (2009). He subsequently moved to Disney Television Animation, with which he continues a long and successful association. Jaison’s credits at Disney Television Animation include serving as a color stylist for Milo Murphy’s Law (2016-19), and as a color designer for Amphibia (2019-22) and the Disney+ original film Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (2020). Jaison is currently working at Disney Television Animation on the currently-airing series Hailey’s On It! (2023).

Beyond his work as an artist, Jaison is also a teacher and instructor, developing course materials for Texas A&M, and teaching at his alma mater, Cal State Northridge.
